Have Severe Pain In The Feet For A Long Time. Had Breast Cancer Earlier. What Should Be Done Now?

Hello,
For over 3 years gradually getting worse I have had really painful achy feet (not the heel everywhere )- the only way I can describe it - is that they feel like glass and (especially in a morning when i wake) I am scared to put my feet on the floor as they feel like they are going to shatter or give way especially walking down the stairs)..... This also happens when I have been off my feet for a while and my ankels also feel the same.

To add to that not sure if they are all linked but I have painful and aching fingers/ hands/ wrists/ knees/ hips shoulders/elbows and back and neck! Last year I was diagnosed with breast cancer and have finished my chemo and radiotheapy treatment but now the pains I was getting before are now even worse.

Any idea what this could be- I had thought maybe artheritis but I am not sure I am only 38 years old

Thanks in advance

Radiologist 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for writing in.
You are already under a lot of stress fighting the cancer for the last year.
There are two ways of seeing your problem.
1. Your pain in feet and the giving way feeling persisted for 2 years prior to your cancer diagnosis and is gradually worsening. In this scenario you may be suffering from neuropathy and need to consult your neurologist.
2. Your feet pain and the strange feeling appeared after starting the chemotherapy and radiotherapy, I would suggest you take consultation for your cancer treating doctor and that this could be the side effects of cancer treatment itself. During cancer treatment you might feel slight weakness.
Whatever the situation, please have will power and fight the cancer out of your system soon.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.
