Hello

Thanks for consulting H.C.M.

I read your query regarding pain and swelling in ears along with chocking due to excess mucous. As you ae saying that you are suffering from COPD and is having distortion of wind pipe due to scaring in lungs. After examination your doctor by endoscopiy and barium meal declared you as free from cancer.

Since you are having COPD therefore respiratory tract infection is very common and thus infection with excess mucous causes repeated blockage of eustachian tube and ultimately recurrent acute otitis media, which is a painful condition of ears

To treat is you should take-

(a) Mucolytic and expectorant.

(b) Stam inhalation.

(c) Adequate liquid intake.

(d) Avoid spicy food, and smoking.

(e) Deep breathing exercise.

I think your query had been answered.

Regards.
