Hello and welcome to HCM.

Thank you for your query.

Firstly, it appears as though the loose stools have resulted in a loss of fluids and thus dehydration. Please try to consume as much water as possible, as dehydration can have multiple severe circumstances.

Now coming to the cause and the main problem. Loose stools for such a long duration of time could be due to various reasons like: parasite infections, irritable bowel syndrome, etc.

The best option right now would be to visit a doctor and go about a stool analysis, and an endoscopic analysis of the gut, before which an ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis should also be conducted.

Please do not be alarmed by the list of investigations I am providing you, these are only to ensure an early and accurate diagnosis. The urgency required would be of top priority as your complaints are resulting in other complications (like dehydration).

Please visit a doctor at the earliest. I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications. I would gladly help you.

Best wishes.
