Hello ma'am and welcome.

The reason why we cannot reach a diagnosis through an online consultation is because in your friends case, a physical examination would be mandatory in reaching a diagnosis. This being said, the possible causez could be an abnormality of the inner lining of the uterus, abnormality of the uterus itself (eg. Fibroids, etc.), hormonal imbalances, other medical conditions like polycystic ovarian syndrome, bleeding abnormalitie, etc.

Please do request your friend to visit the doctor at the earliest.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
