Have Impetigo, Treated With Cephalexin. Tried To Bleach Bath And Have To Keep Them Covered. Suggest?

Hi. I have impetigo. It's being treated with oral antibiotics - Cephalexin 2 pills twice a day, it's been 2 weeks and there has been no improvement. I have tried to bathe in Dettol, then I tried a bleach bath - as recommended by a skin specialist and I have also tried epsom salts, all in an effort to dry them out but nothing has worked so far. I keep them covered because they are still weeping. Some of the lesions are small but I have some that seem to be getting bigger. What am I doing wrong or what is missing?

Hello,
Welcome to healthcare magic,
I really doubt the diagnosis of impetigo. Usually it would not last this long after treatment with cephalexin. It could be an immunobullous disease. You need to show a dermatologist to reassess and revise the diagnosis. Or else you can ask me a direct query by clicking on this short url http://bit.ly/dr-j-chacko and upload a photograph so that I can assess and guide you.
Hope this helped
Take care
