Have Headaches, Neck Feels Locked Up, Nauseated. Drinking Plenty Of Water. What Is Going On?

From time to time the very top of my neck gets "locked up" just below my skull, I get severe headaches and feel very out of sorts indeed. Just want to sleep and I lose interest in life. Lately I have felt nauseous too for several days and have lost my appetite. I also feel very thirst despite drinking plenty of water. At times I urinate a lot, espy. at night. Any idea what is going on with me and if the nausea is connected with the neck pain?

Neurologist 's  Response
Hi,

Your history is consistent with occipitonuchal headache associated with nausea and decrease appetite. Need to rule out 2 things whether it is simple cervical myofascitis ( inflammation of cervical muscle fascia) or meningeal involvement. This can be confirmed by clinical examination.

Need to consult Neurologist for same and plan for further management. CT scan brain to be done to rule out structural causes.

Second complaint being excessive thirst and urination more at night need to rule out diabetic state or is it a polydipsia and polyuria state

Blood sugar and electrolytes also to be tested

Yes nausea can be linked to neck pain and headache

Regards
