Have Head Spinning. Had Angioplasty Earlier. Have Ear Problem Also. What To Do?
Hi Doc,
My father underwent angioplasty in Sep'12. For last 30 days he is having complaint of constant head spinning. I have got him examined by few doctors. We monitored his BP for a week and BP has been almost stable. Not very significant fluctuations. Ortho suggested that he has got some symptoms of Spondylosis but should not cause constant head spinning. I read few articles on constant head spinning and it seems it could be linked with ears. He has got some complaint with his ears as he feels numbness there. Please suggest. Thanks in advance.

From history it seems that your father might have Cervical spondilitis or some problem in the ears.
Due to age there might be otosclerosis in the ear giving rise to vertigo.
Consult ENT specialist and get examined.
Meanwhile you can give Vertin or Stugeron forte after consulting your doctor.
Avoid putting pillow under the head.
Go for x-ray cervical spines to rule out cervical spondilitis.
