Have Fast Heart Beat After Sleeping On Left Side. Had Spasm In Left Arm. Cure?
Twice in the last 3 nights when I fell asleep on my left side I have been woken up with a very fast heart beat. The first time I actually had a spasm in my left arm . I had a couple of incidents a month ago during the day where I got light headed and disoriented, my hands and feet were freezing and actually appeared slightly blue. My blood pressure is on the low end or normal. I went to the ER and they did some tests and couldn t find anything wrong.
Dear ma'm
thanks for writing to us.
a feeling of sudden racing of heartbeat is common if you wake up from a deep sleep suddenly; especially during 1st half an hour of sleep.
history of sudden feeling of lightheadedness , disorientation and freezing is not something normal and should be evaluated. there are a number of causes for such conglomeration of symptoms which may be harmless or serious. you need to consult your physician / cardiologist and then act as per their assessment/advice.
feel free to write again with more details like your age, presence of comorbidities, reports of tests conducted on you etc.
sincerely
