Have Dizziness, Burping Air, Nausea. Normal BP And Blood Test. Cause?
i am 34 years old, female and have been feeling dizzy for 2 weeks now. checked with 2 general doctors but my BP is norman and blood sugar is also normal (asked to check my blood sugar as well since 6 mos ago, i gave birth and while pregnat i had gestational diabetes ). May I know what may possibly cause my dizziness? I also feel like i am having hyperacidity as i burp some air often and feels like throwing up
Dizziness is vague term - unsteadiness. If there is definite sense of rotation, it is vertigo.
The body's balancing mechanism is in the inner ear. An ENT (Ear Nose Throat) specialist is the one to see. They have special tests to confirm or exclude the contribution of the ear - which probably is the case with you. Nausea (feeling like to throw up) can be due to dizziness.
If there are no clues, then you have to be followed up by a neurologist.
In the mean time, medicines like betahistine or flunarazine alone or in combination may help the dizziness / Pro-kinetics like domperidone and Proton Pump Inhibitors like omeperazole will help in nausea and hyper-acidity, respectively.
Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
