Have Delay In Periods. Had Sex Earlier And Now Having Discharge From Vagina. Can This Be Pregnancy?

hello. i have very regular 28 day cycle. was intimate with partner on 4/22 (pull out method). Period was due 4/28 and it was 5 days late. on fri 5/3 at about 11pm had blood clot followed by light spotting. on 5/4 morning put a tampon in just in case bcuz had light cramping and had to change it 2 hours later as it was heavy flow but after that it just stopped. since then i've had very light brownish discharge on and off when i wipe only, no cramping whatsoever, feeling nauseous at times but took a cheap 99c preg test and it came out negative. i know my body well and im never late if anything always early. I'm confused, can i be pregnant? I'm guessing im very early which is why its negative. should i retake a hpt? which one do you recommend for early detection? Help please!

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
The chance of pregnancy is some what less in your case, because:
-You had intercourse around 22nd day of the cycle. In case of regular periods ovulation usually will not occur during that period.
-There was no ejaculation.
But as your blood flow delayed, it indicates some irregularity.
Urine pregnancy tests may not detect early pregnancy sometimes.
So your better go for blood test for pregnancy or ultrasound, which can accurately find out the possibility of pregnancy.
