Have Cough, Runny Nose, Sore Throat And Congestion. Getting Tingly Sensation After Taking Mucinex Dm. Worrisome

Hi; I suddenly had a cough and runny nose accompanied with a sore throat and congestion! The pharmacy told me Mucinex DMV would help. I have been taking it since 12:30 this afternoon every four hours. I am feeling tingly. Feeling under my shoulder blade and slight shortness of breath. I just took my temp and it reads 99.0

I have gone through your query regarding sudden running nose and sore throat and shortness of breath.
You are most probably suffering from acute upper respiratory tract infection,most of the time it is viral and self limiting, you can take any broad spectrum antibiotic, anti histaminics and decongestant nasal drops with consent of your family physician. I hope you will be O.K. in 5 to 6 days but unfortunately if it takes more time than to consult an E.N.T. specialist will be a wise step for thorough examination and treatment.
