Have Chronic Pain In Left Shoulder. Numbness In Left Thumb. Anything Serious?

I have this chronic pain in left shoulder back of my neck, down my back around my shoulder blade. Sometimes I get this sharp stinging pain in the middle of my arm and lately been having numbness in my left thumb. My shoulder is also stiff. It s painful to reach my arm across my body to my other shoulder and behind my back. I can not wear anything around my neck, it will just give me this constant achy burning pain in my neck and shoulder. I have done physical therapy (didn t really help), been to see orthopeadic shoulder specialist. He says I have little bit of bone spurs in my shoulder but nothing that he would do anything about. I have also been having this numbness on the side of my left leg. Went last week to see and ortho spine specialist. He thougth maybe something was going on in my neck, and sciatic nerve pain in my leg. Had MRI of my neck on Friday. Spoke to his nurse briefly today and she said the MRI was normal. Now waiting to hear back from the MD. Nobody seems to find anything wrong with me but I m in constant pain and getting pretty tired of this. Should I go and see a neurologist? My aunt has MS, don t think I have that but would really like to get some answers what is going on. Have been dealing with this for couple of years. Thanks, Sigrun
