Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.

As far as my knowledge is concerned there is no way to correct bow legs by non-surgical means in skeletally mature patients.

So,if you want a correction, it's only by surgical methods.

As 3 & 4 degree angulation comes under a mild category deformity, no surgical correction will be offered to you. And I don't think this amount of deformity will pose any problem for you in future.

Hope this information is helpful. Good day

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement Dr. Saurabh Gupta's  Response
Hi,

The treatment for bow legs largely depends on the underlying cause.
Most often the mild lower leg deformities can be answered by certain exercises and certain posture modifications.
Severe deformities require surgical correction.
Anyways a physical examination by a primary surgeon should be proper at this point. A pain killer with Ibuprofen should get temporary relief from aches.

I do hope that you have found something helpful and Informative.
