Have Blood In Stool, More Blood When Stressed. How Severe Is This Problem?

My fiancée has had bloody stool since we have been together which has been 2.5 years he claims his dr said its ulcers ...he wont go back to get this taken care of and im really worried... what is the risks he is taking? How severe is this? O another thing he bleeds more often when he is stressed.... I can t make him go to DR so can u plz give me some information THANK YOU Sincerely concerened

This could be very serious. He could have inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease or Ulcerative Colitis) or worse yet, cancer of the colon. While in most cases this is related to hemorrhoids if the bleeding is bright red, he certainly should not ignore these symptoms!
