Have a bump on hip and it hurts

i just realized i have a bump on my hip but its under my skin and it hurts when i touch it what does this mean?

Hi,If there is a lump that hurts then you need to see a doctor for examination.Its possibly infected causing pain.Its difficult to say what it is without examination,but it could be an abscess etc.You need urgent intervention in such a case so please see a doctor soon.
