Have Peyronies Disease. Should Injections Or Surgery Be Done?

Hello~
My husband developed Peyronies disease suddenly (within one week)
The Doctor he saw told him to come back in 6 months to see if any changes had taken place.
He mentioned a possible injection that is near acceptance and the possibility of surgery.
In the event this disease could possibly leave as quickly as it came we don't want to do
anything rash?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Peyronie's disease is a genetic disease causing fibrosis leading to alteration of pineal shape and function. Although there is presently no cure, there are treatment to redress the shape and improve function. self-administered manual techniques and injection are less invasive treatment method which are recommended to start with. Surgery is usually last resort and could have unwanted complication such a shorting of penis. So my advise is that you accept the injection, which have good result in a good number of patient.
Hope this is helpful
