Hard, Sore Knot On Shin Like Blood Clot. History Of Fall, Followed By Bruise In Leg. Remedy?

I fell over a month ago and my leg bruised pretty badly. I have a hard knot in my shin (about the size of a quarter) I figured it was a blood clot and that it would break and go away. However, the knot is still there. The bruise is gone completely but the bump is still sore. Any ideas on what it could be or how to get rid of it?

Hi!
welcome to HCM!
Most contusions are minor and heal quickly, but, severe contusions can cause deep tissue damage and can lead to complications .
Sometimes a pool of blood collects within damaged tissue, forming a lump over the injury (hematoma)Contusions cause swelling and pain near the injury. The injured muscle may feel weak and stiff. Your blue is blood outside any blood vessel and is harmless; your body will absorb this slowly over the next few weeks.

.If no relief then get examined and get x-ray and FNAC done for the region.

take medications for pain relief.

DO NOT massage the injured area.

Take care!
