Had Uncomfortable Pap Smear. Pain When Urinated, Frequent Urination, Fever. Taking Cranberry Pills. Itching In Arms, Legs

I had a Pap smear one week ago...the most uncomfortable internal and pap ever. I am 57 years old. I went in a pool at a hotel four days after the pap and felt like I came down with a UTI...pain when I urinated, frequent urination and fever/chills. I started to take triple strength cranberry pills and felt better yesterday. Today I am achy all over...arms and legs, and I've been sleeping a lot.

Nephrologist 's  Response
HI
Thanks for your query
It is quite possible that you have a UTI.
I would recommend that you do a urine R/M and a urine culture. Based on the results we could decide if you need a course of antibiotics.
Mean while drink plenty of fluids.
Hope this helps
Good luck.
