Had The Marina IUD In, No Period At All, Removed, Hpt Negative, Still Bleeding, Stomach And Back Cramps. Should I Seek Medical Attention?

I had the Marina IUD in for three years, and it caused me not to have a period at all. In Nov. 2012, I had it removed. Since then I ve had a regular cycle every month that lasted 3-5 days. In March, I didn t have one. I took several pregnancy test and they all showed negative. I finally started bleeding on April 24th. I am still bleeding. So I ve been bleeding a total of 17 days straight. It s not a heavy flow but it s more than spotting (regular flow) and I m heaving very bad stomach and back cramps , accompanied by headaches and fatigue . Is this something I should seek medical attention for, or could it be just my body getting back to normal from the birth control?

Neurologist 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for the query
I understand your concern
I have read your medical history
I personally feel that you need to consult a local gynecologist as you had bleeding of total 17 days which is abnormal. Your headache and fatigue may be related to the excess bleed per se. Howe ever once you get evaluated, we will be able to know if there are any other cause of headache in your case and deal accordingly.

Hope this helps
