Had Knee Replacement Surgery. Noticed Fungal Growth Around Knee. What Can This Be?

My mother had knee replacement surgery in May and last Thursday she had her Dr put her to sleep in order to manipulate the knee as the cells in her knee healed but she wasn't able to get her knee to bend more than 90 to 95 degrees.

Today she went to physical therapy and she was told it appears that some sort of fungus is starting to develop around her knee and will need to see her Dr as soon as possible.

It appears that she has some circular blemishes or blotches around her knee and we're wondering what it may be?

After TKR the doc must hv prescribed steroid to suppress any immune reaction
this makes the pt susceptible to other infections especially fungal
kindly consult a physician and start with appropriate therapy
