Had Ear Perforation, Nose Bleed, Headache. Worry? What Could Be Wrong?

Hi. I had ear perforation (doctor said two specs of blood has been seen..meant perforation) and said to leave it for a week or two it may recover by itself. had ringing bells and whistles for some weeks. haven t been to doctor since as doctor advised to go to specialist if not recovered from that. Also, I had fallen down which lead to nose bleed instantaneously which doctor said is not fracture but was from torn muscle in the nose. Now i have headaches almost twice a day. what could be the possiblity? anything to worry about? i have made a booking with my general practitioner however i would like to have some suggestions/opinions.

THanks for writing to H.C.M. about your query.
I have gone through your clinical history regarding your ear drum perfoeation and nasal bleeding. Here you did not tell how your ear drum get perforated, if this is by injury than spontaneous healing will be fast and exillent . On the other hand if it is due to infection of middle ear than specific treatment is needed.
Regarding nose bleeding you should exclude fracture by X-Ray nasal bones. If there is no fracture than for treatment of both problems you should take- Antibiotics, Anti inflammatory, Decongestant and steam inhalation.
Please don't use any ear drop this may hinder the healing process and turn your perforation into a chronic perforation in that case surgery will be necessary.
