Had MRI Of Ankle Due To Fracture. Findings?
I have the report from MRI on left ankle. It says acute hairline fracture in the plantar aspect of the calcaneal tuberosity medially. Chronic lateral ankle ligament injury including suspected ATFL and CFL sprains,as well as a suspected chronic avulsion fracture along the anterior tip of the lateral malleolus. Incidental note of OS trigonum and accessory navicular ossicle. I see an ortho tomorrow,it happened on Aug.28. Can you tell me where these places are on my foot?

All the findings in the MRI scan signifies that your lateral side (outer part of the ankle joint) of the ankle is diseased.
Propably, you may need a reconstructive surgery of the lateral ligaments of the ankle inorder to prevent the development of late instability which may lead to ankle arthritis.
