Got Chest Pain And Dizziness While Drinking. Is This Something Serious?
Its hard to explain...a few nights ago i was eating and drinking a diet pepsi. All of a sudden I felt pain in my chest and throat and was over whelmed by hiccups that caused massive pain all they way up to my head. I tried to gain control of the hiccups and even started spitting up/almost foaming. After a few minutes of not catching my breathe, I got dizzy. I finally got down on all fours and kinda rocked to make the pain in my chest and head stop. My husband came up behind me and simply placed his hand on my back and I wanted to scream. It felt like he was crushing me. He was about to call 911 when i felt the sudden urge to throw up and I did. After that, I was able to gain control but was shaking and sweating really bad. It took me about an hour to feel normal again. Ever since, my chest has been off and on really tight and heavy. I want to see my primary but feel kinda stupid cause i have no other symptoms. Please advise. Thank you.
It could have been because of oesophageal spasm especially if you took a big mouthful of the liquid and tried to gulp it rather fast. Do you suffer from any kind of indigestion or acidity? If this recurrs frequently, i suggest you consult your physician and undergo a complete chevk up including for your heart.
