Gonorrhea Cured. Pus Coming From Penis, Burning Sensation While Urinating After Sex During Period. Has Gonorrhea Remain Dormant?

Had a relationship before with a girl that has gonorrhea. We cured it and fast forward 1 year after we broke up. I now have a 5 month relationship with a girl, had sex since the first month of our relationship. One time we had sex while she was having her period and a day after i noticed puss coming out of my penis and slight burning sensation when urinating. Checked it from time to time and after a couple of hours i noticed that there is no puss coming out of my penis anymore and still has the burning sensation while urinating. Is it possible that I was not cured and gonnorhea remained dormant of my system?

Thanks for your query.Based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have acquired UTI due to unprotected sex with your girl friend during her menstrual period.

Please note that gonorrhoea never remain dormant.This is fresh episode and needs to be treated properly,

Please get your routine urine test and urine culture done to find out the organisms causing this infection and antibiotics to which they are sensitive to.

Please take broad spectrum antibiotics along with urinary antiseptic like Nitrofurantoin twice daily and urine alkaliser thrice daily.and later on switch on to appropriate antibiotics after getting culture report.

Get the prescription of medicines from your family Physician.

Ensure to drink more water.To keep your urine dilute This will help to control dysuria.
