Foul Smell From Urine, Burning Sensation, Itchiness On Urinating. Urine Infection?
When I go to the bathroom I have a very strong odour, a burning sensation and itchy. It just came out of the blue, no warning whatsoever. What is it? I have had three infections before after being on antibiotics but have not had one for over ten years now. Any information you can help me with would be very much appreciated.
Hello, thanks for using HCM.
There are two most common causes of dysuria or discomfort during urination; urinary tract infection and genital tract infection. Urinary tract infection can be associated with low grade fever or high fever where as genital tract infections could be associated with vaginal discharges, pains during intercourse and itching. In your case its like that you have a genital tract infection which could account for all the symptoms you have cited. Use of hormonal contraceptives, vaginal ovules, vaginal douching poor anal hygiene etc are all risk factors to genital tract infections.
You need to see your doctor for a detail evaluation and for tests like vaginal smear and urine analysis.
