Flesh Colored Bumps On Bikini Line Getting Red And Inflamed While Taking Bath

hi,
i noticed i have these small flesh colored bumps. the location is very hard to describe its like the crease were your butt and thigh meet but more towards the vagina like in the area you would shave your bikini line. they do not hurt, itch or anything. i notice when i take a bath they get a little inflamed and a little red.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM.

I would keep a possibility of Tinea/fungal infection.

If i was your treating doctor i would have advised a topical antifungal cream e.g clotrimazole twice daily for 2-4 weeks.

I would advice that you see a dermatologist for a confirmatory diagnosis. Else a KOH scraping from the site can also be tested in the lab for fungal filaments

An oral anti-fungal e.g fluconazole can also be added by your treating dermatologist.

take care
regards
