Fever, Chills And Pain In The Wrist. Fracture Or Ligament Sprain?

i fell earlier this afternoon,i put my wrist out to break my fall.got up moved my extremities to test for pain but none.3 hours later i started getting a fever and chills.i couldn't hold a plate or write with my right hand.i have a doctors appt. tomorrow for something unrelated but was concerned that with the fever and chills.do you think it's alright to wait till tomorrow till my appt.just don't know if it's a fracture or ligament sprain or tear.but something is causing chills and fever.what do you recommend?

The persistent sharp pain in the wrist can be due to a bone injury in the area. A direct examination and X-ray are necessary to differentiate between a soft tissue injury and a bone injury.
