Question: Hello doctor XXXXXXX here
I am moving to XXXXXXX by this month end so I am suppose to take yellow fever vaccination and meningo ACwy 0.5ml injection I just take today.
After taking this vaccinations can I become pregnant?

Though no obvious defects have been reported, there is a theoretical risk since the yellow fever vaccine contains live virus.

It is preferable to wait for one month before attempting to conceive, after the vaccination. However, if it is very much important, the vaccination is given with proper care.

Vaccination is preferably given after the first trimester if already pregnant.
