Fell On My Centre Tail Bone. Hurts While Sitting. Now Have Blood In Toilet. Suggestions?
Hello, I fell hard on the center bar of my bike while riding up a hill and injured my tail bone quite badly. That was between two and three months ago. It hurts most when driving or sitting on the floor. The pain started as very severe and has improved over the last two months somewhat. This past week and even more so today the pain is becoming more severe. I just went to the bathroom (#2) and when i went to flush there was a decent amount of blood in the toilet that appeared to come out with some force. The bowl movement seemed soft but overall nothing I wouldn't call normal. I'm 29/healthy male. I worry about the bleeding, could it still be related after so much time since the injury with no prior bleeding?
I don't think that you tail bone injury (3 months old) is the cause for blood in the stools now.
There are many causes and conditions in which blood is found in stools - * Hemorrhoids * Anal fissure * Bacteria gastroenteritis * Diverticulosis * Crohns disease & Ulcerative colitis * Colonic cancers etc.
So, a detailed evaluation by a General surgeon is necessary to establish the cause for your symptoms.
Hope this information is helpful. Good day
