Feeling Of Cracking Neck, Fluid Rush From Neck To Head, Unable To Lift Head, Stiff, Painful Neck. Opinion?

seven months ago i turned over in bed felt my neck crack upon cracking i also felt fluid rush from the base of my neck up towards the back of my head to the top of my head-the pain intesified over a period of 2 days resulting in my not being able to lift my head without assistance-pain so severe my head felt as if it weight 200 pounds-i am still having pain and stiffness in my neck-upon appling pressure to the right side of my head-it releives some of the pain i'm currently exhibiting-what is this?

Hello,
thanks for using health care magic

It is likely that you sustained muscular strain or strain of the cervical vertebrae and due to pain, some muscles of your neck stayed in a permanent contracted form. This is does exerting pressure and thus the reason for your pains. In such cases i usually prescribe pain killers and drugs that help to relax skeletal muscles.

It would be necessary to see a doctor for detail exam and for an x-ray since the cervical/neck region is a delicate region containing nerves to the rest of the lower body.

Hope this helps you.
Best regards
Dr Achuo
