Feeling Nauseous, dizzy & Cramps After Taking Birth Control

I've been on and off spotting lightly for the past week with cramps then this week (when my period was supposed to start) I bleed normal for one and a half days then it just stopped. I've been spotting with a dark brown/red clots. Im on birth control but today the day after my period stopped I've been having severe cramps and feeling nausea and dizzy. I don't know what's wrong with me.

Hello,

The symptoms that you are having are common side effects of the birth control pills. The mild spotting can happen after stopping the pill due to hormonal changes. There is no need to worry. This will gradually subside.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Rakhi Tayal, OBGYN
