Hi hnixon42,
I have gone through your question , overactive thyroid or hyperthyroidism may show symptoms similar to those you stated above , but with out live examination and medical history it would not be suitable to come to any conclusion.
Since , hyperthyroidism also does show various others symptoms (which i am mentioning below ) , i would like you to go through them and if you are experiencing many of such other symptoms , i would recommend you to consult nearst General physician immediately , and at most cases these issues come under control hence , you need not worry.

the major symptoms of hyperthyroidism include :
1) hyperactivity
2)mood swings such as anxiety, irritability and nervousness
3)difficulty sleeping (insomnia)
4)feeling tired all the time (fatigue)
5)muscle weakness
6)needing to pass stools (faeces or 'poo') or urine frequently
7)diarrhoea
8)unexplained or unexpected weight loss, despite having an increased appetite (though in a small number of cases the increase in appetite can lead to weight gain)
9)very infrequent or light periods, or periods stopping altogether

I wish you get well Soon
