Extremely High Blood Pressure 186/110/67.I Am 20 Yrs Old. Why So High?
I got bored last night at a friends house and decided to check my blood pressure and was stunned 186/110/67. I m 5 10 and 160lbs in perfect condition. I checked a month ago and it was 163/90/67 and that was after a mile long run but this time i wasn t active during the day at all. Why so high? I started taking asprin that is suppose to help lower the blood pressure but what else can I do?
I'm confused by your numbers, there should only be 2. 120/80 being the norm. Exercise raises your bp so maybe you should check it first thing in the morning before getting out of bed. I am 39 and have been treated for high blood pressure since my early 20's, it's hereditary in my case. It's under good control on meds. So you might go see a doctor ASAP if you keep getting high readings or if you feel bad (headaches, tired, stressed). Also consider the BP cuff, is it reliable? Some don't work correctly or get broke. So check on a different machine. You can go to a fire station for a free check anytime I believe. I have high bp regardless of my physical condition.
