Extremely Dark And Dry Skin On Stomach, Neck, Moderate Improvement With Cream. How Can I Fix This?

Extremely dark dry skin . not itchy just extremely dry and looks some what like its peeling on my stomach but on my neck and arms its just dark blotchy spots. went to a dermatologist a couple years ago they apparently didnt know what it was but prescribed me a cream that lightened it alot but it now its back worse. what could this be and how can i get this to go away?

dry skin on the stomach has many reasons. from icthyosis, to fungal infections and sometimes acanthosis nigricans which can be seen in obese individuals. the other conditions could be lichen planus, or psoriasis. any way the best is to get a biopsy done and histology of the same
