Experiencing Constipation And Burning Sensation While Urinating

Hello. I just had TAHBSO this thursday. Just wondering when im going to have a normal bowel movement. Right now I am constipated. Another thing I m concern is when I pee.. It gives me burning sensation before and after peeing. Is there anything I need to be concern about? Do i need to see my OBgyn asap. Thanks for your time. Nerissa

Are you taking pain killlers? Opiate medications are common causes of constipation. If your doctor did not prescribe you one, you can buy a laxative over-the-counter at your local pharmacy. The goal is to have one normal bowel movement per day.

Burning with urination is a common sign of a UTI. I would recommend speaking with your OBGYN about it, and they may prescribe you an antibiotic. If you are not having a fever and the symptoms are mild, you could try calling your OBGYN's office and they may just prescribe you an antibiotic over the phone.
