Excessive Burps, Feeling Something Struck In Adams Apple, Nausea. Started Going To Gym Month Back. Are These Related?

Dear doc, I feel a constant need to burp all the time also I get excessive burps as well. There is an uncanny feeling that something is stuck in my adam's apple. This causes a lot of discomfort, but there is no pain and no trouble swallowing. Nausea persists sometimes coz of this. I just started gymming a month back. Is this related? I am 33 yrs old

Hello dear,

The symptoms as mentioned in your post are attributed to increase gas formation in your stomach which can be secondary to excess acid production in stomach.
Symptomatic relief can be obtained by intake of antacids like Omeprazole or Pantoprazole (to be taken half an hour before meals) in combination with Domperidone.
As you have started gymming, maintain adequate hydration & nutrition status of your body.
Avoid lipid rich diet & gas forming food products like cabbage, etc.

Wishing you a good health.
