Erection Through Sleep, Moaning And Sweating, Urge To Urinate. Any Ideas?
Hi Doctor Grief, I have a husband that constantly is having erections through his sleep and we are not having intercourse for at least five to six days. I hear him moan and sweat and he is nowhere near me. And I believe that he is dreaming of having sex with some one else or is this a medical issue. He constantly says he has to pee but he doesnt get up to pee. When I address this to him its a matter of a few minutes and his erection disapears , can you please help me to find the truth.
I understand your concerns. Nocturnal erections in men durin REM sleep which occurs mostly during the later half of the night is common. Your husband's moaning behavior indicates that he probably also has a urinary tract infection which needs to be tested when he is seen by a doctor. I advise you to also let the doctor know of his night time behaviors as he may have a RSBD or a REM sleep behavior disorder which can be easily treated.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a lovely day!
