I am so sorry to hear about what you have been going through. it is often very frustrating for the patients when their doctors cannot agree on what the exact treatment should be. I don t think your doctor had enough information to have suggested that you get a hip replacement. Hip pain has never been an indication for a hip replacement. Hip pain calls for further investigation and management of which a replacement can be an option if the joint if completely destroyed. Please, tell your doctor what his suggestion is. It is simple to say I don t want this but what did he proposed for your pains? the problem you have is the pain and all you need is what to help you stay out of it. So, do not be concerned about the product but frankly ask him what you should take for your pains disregarding that you are on cortisone injections.
