Dry Patch Skin On Right Side Thumb Near Finger Nail. Used Hand Lotions, With No Relief. Treatment?

Hi. Recently, I ve noticed a rough, dry patch of skin on the left side of my right thumb near my fingernail. I always feel like picking at it with my teeth to see if that will take it away. Unfortunately, it only makes it worse. I ve tried some hand lotions like Miracle Hand Relief Cream and Eucerin and nothing s happening so far. Any help is appreciated.

This condition is called as 'dermatillomania". Its one of the obsessive disorder. If the skin is getting dry, put simple petroleum jelly overnight and it will go. You should keep your attention in something else in order to prevent the picking of your finger.

Hope this answer helps you.
