Done Colonoscopy. Have Gas, Abdominal Pressure, Cramps. No Nausea, Bleeding, Fever, Pain
I had a colonoscopy 8 hours ago but still have lots of gas, abdominal pressure. No nausea, no bleeding, no fever, no intense pain; just waves of cramping. I have tooted only once since the procedure and can not seem to expel any more air to relive the cramping. What to do? The procedure went fine; no unusual issues and one 4mm polop removed.
hello there! post colonoscpoy gut peristalsis takes abit time to get back to physiological freequencies, thats is your gut is not propelling at a rate it should and it is normal after a colonoscopy. give it some time. It will vanish away. the gas/flatulence will get off. but if you cant wait i would advise some fibrous diet and 2-3 doses of lactulose 30 ml cups twice a day. use some proplelleers like metoclopramide for motility resumption. but you are all good. its all normal and it happens and will go away.
mean while use fibrous diet, avoid spices and stimulants like caffein etc to excacerbate trouble. you will be fine soon. give your bowel some rest and some thing soft to digest.
