Done Angioplasty, On Aspirin 75mg, Metoprolol 25mg, Elevated SGPT 60. What Can I Do?
I am a 37year old, I have done angioplasty in 2008. i am on aspirin 75mg, metaprolol 25mg TDS, and Lipitor 20mg OD for the last 10 years. now i have elevated SGPT i.e 60. all other LFT tests are normal in range. I am feeling Fatigue. Now kindly advise me wt can i do for lowering my SGPT. Thanks
SGPT is liver enzyme which indicated liver activity. Elevated enzymes might be due to drugs, like atarvostatin, it increases liver enzymes.
Liver function tests should be analysed throughly analysed and dosage of statins should be reduced, consultation with your doctor is very essenstial as you cannot judge how to lower the statin dosage.
Rest of the medicines needs to be continued.
Thanks
