Done Angioplasty, Have Fever And Elevated WBC Count. Help

my father had an angioplasty about 4 days ago and now has an unexplained fever of 104 and an elevated WBC count. his doctors are at a loss and unable to treat what ever it is because they can find nothing as to the source of the infection. he is declining and i m frantically trying to find answers as the doctors are at a stand still.

Hi, welcome to HCM I am Dr Das
The history you told indicates a septicemia due to introduction of cardiac catheterization during angioplasty. It is due to unhygenic condition of the Cath lab mainly due to inadequate sterilization.
Blood culture should be done to get the sensitivity test for an ft antibodies.
The condition should be treated using high power antibiotics.
