Does Stomach Flu Cause Swollen Lymph Nodes In Neck?

I have been having pain in my right side since monday I went to the dr. And she said I have swollen lymph nodes in my neck and I have a fever and that means I have a infection . She then tells me I have a stomach flu. Does stomach flu cause your lymph nodes to swell and why would only my right side hurt?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
It seems that you might be having some infection in your throat, ear or in surrounding area giving rise fever and enlarged lymph nodes in the right neck giving this problem.
Go for one course of antibiotic medicine like Azithromicin for 3-5 days.
Ok and take care.
