General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dear Madam,
Sorry to know about your daughter's sad demise due to Ventricular tachycardia which seems to have developed following a myocardial infarction.

Indeed, hypokalemia (low serum potassium levels) increases the risk of ventricular tachycardia but Progesterone as such does not decrease the potassium levels.

Hypokalemia could have occurred due to certain medications like diuretics ("water pills") like loop diuretics or thiazides or due to excess loss through vomiting or diarrhea.

Hope this answers your query.
