Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am two weeks late on my menstrual cycle. I am normally right on... I have taken four pregnancy tests but all came back negative. I also went to the doctor and had a blood test that came back negative. I am having diarrhea, and cramping. Could I still be pregnant?
Hello dear Understand your concern Missed period by two week is not normal. As your urine pregnancy test and Blood HCG are reported negative, does not suggest pregnancy. Following are the causes of delayed period in absence of pregnancy: Hormonal imbalance, excessive stress, change in life style and dietary habit, Thyroid dysfunction, ovarian cyst/PCOS, adenomyosis and endometriosis. I advice you to consult the gynecologist and go for USG scan, reproductive hormone and thyroid hormone analysis, Ovarian follicle study to diagnose above cause. In absence of pregnancy, period can be induced by medroxyprogesterone or progesterone preparation. Hope this may help you
