Does jogging reduce weight more faster than cycling?
i am cycling for almost 5 kms...daily from past one month i have reduced 2 kgs with in this one month..buit i wanna reduce my weight even faster...i have heard jogging will reduce ur weight faster than cycling..can anyone pls suggest??
Cycling when done for 25 minutes burns 100 calories whereas jogging when done for 14 minutes burns the same 100 calories. This means jogging is better than cycling in burning calories faster. But it also varies with the intensity of doing the exercise.
Hi, Am 28 year old, hight 184 CM with weight of 97 Kg. I do jogging 4 times a week and even then weight wont reduce. i am doing this since 1 and half year. of course some times i have to skip due to work also. suggest me how to reduce weight in simpler way?
I tend to walk a lot, and also eat healthy...Most times I get to work out at least 3-4 times per week for about 45-2 hours (depending on the day). The 45 minute workouts include kick-boxing, and the 2 hour workouts include kickboxing and running... I have always been considered fairly active, and a healthy eater...However, only running keeps me from gaining weight. Even when I work-out 3-5 times a week in other ways and walk a lot/use stairs whenever possible/eat healthy (around 1000-1500 calories per day including less than 1400miligrams of sodium, plenty of potassium and fiber...) I gain about an inch all over my body ever week or so...I end up looking HUGE if I don t run at least 2-5 (2 at a faster pace, and 5 at a slower pace) miles on a regular basis (about 3-5 times per week). I know that I have a slow matabolism, and that runs in my family...but I don t want my whole life to be exercise...I want to be able to workout for an hour 3-5 days per week and maintain.....Instead, I end up gaining weight even with a constant healthy eating style and workouts that don t involve running. I have seen doctors about this problem, thinking that I had some sort of thyroid problem...I was refered to an endroconologist and a nutritionist......They gave me diet plans, and I eventually ended up faxing a nutritionist everything that I ate and the workouts that I did...... I gained 15 pounds, and when I asked the nutritionist why I was gaining weight she told me There is no logical explination why you are gaining weight ..... I feel into major depression and had to work myself out of a bulimic (yes, I know exactly what I was doing to myself-more than anyone because I have studied bulimia and know how ineffective it is...) period, feeling hopeless and fat. I got personal trainers to help me loose the weight that I gained, but have since never fully recovered in terms of my weight... I just want to be able to loose weight and maintain it.......but whenever I loose weight by running 3-5 miles per day (at least 4 times a week if not 5) and working out 45 minutes per day (at least 3 times a week if not 5), and then reduce my running to maintain my weightloss, and keep up my healthy eating (even adjusting calorie intake slightly at times when I know I cannot work it off in time-due to studies or other)........I gain weight......a lot of weight......quickly......and it is very visible on me (not just saying that because I see it, but other people mention it as well in subtle ways......). It seems like stress would contribute to my rapid weight gain, but I have had my cortizol level tested and it is normal... It seems like I may not be eating as healthy as I think I am...but I have spoken to many experts on healthy eating (including those in the medical field) and they have all praised what discipline I have with my healthy eating....... It seems like I am reducing my exercise when my body has gotten use to it, and needs an amph rather than decrease to loose more weight, and at least needs to be kept constant in order to maintain..........When I work out as much as I do when running.....I loose weight...What if I want to maintain after I have lost the weight?!?! Even when I drop the running down to 3 miles 2-3 days per week (while still working out 45 minutes-1 hour every day doing kickboxing/walking/standing and lifting things for at least 8 hours-job).....I gain weight. I have just gotten back from vacation, and measured my waste..........I was 30 for about the first week... I still went to my job that requires lifting/bending/walking/standing/pushing/etc for eight hours a day, and walked everywhere that I went.....It has been about 2 weeks and I already have a 33 inch waste.... I have gone on vacations before when it has taken me a few weeks to get back into a running routine, and even with 4-5 days of 1 hour training sessions, I gained weight after 2 weeks or less..... I just want to be able to stay fit and maintain after I have lost weight without making exercise the center of my life and without sacrificing valuable study time in order to get ALL that I need to do to keep from gaining weight out of the way....every......single...day. Why do people keep telling me that if I workout about an hour 5 days per week or more that I will loose weight and do 30 minutes of cardio 3 days per week and I will maintain so long as I eat healthy if I have to do the 5 day a week routine just to maintain!?!?! I feel really cheated and large......and no one has been able to help me except by making me run land loose the weight again...starting the cycle all over again...
i take .100 syntriod bcuz my thyriod sucks, i know that people with over active thyriods lose massive ammounts of weight in just a few months. i want to know if i take a double dosage of my syntriod for just 2 months to give myself a over active thyriod will it help me lose weight faster to become healthy faster. i know this is unhealthy so i dont want the stadard dr answer, but im 436 lbs thats also unhealthy so the faster i lose weight the better.
my now 18 year old daughter has experiencing hair thinning you can see to her scalp. and hair looks unhealthy, weight loss, pale, anxiety, moody, depression or low self asteem. we started with vitamins and supplements for the last 4 months but no change. im thinking thyroid? plz. help
my mother is 50 years old,she has a herniated disc(L1,s1),she was asked by the doctor to undergo weight reduction,she was suggested by her hypnotherapist to go for herbal life products ,she continued it for 4 moths but only lost 4 kgs. she stopped it for a week now,now she is not feeling well,she is womiting,motions ,having stomache pain.and most times she is having vomiting sensation ,soetimes hyeadache..she is also having gastric problems from past 4 years.plz do advice me whatt should i do now. should i consult the coreligionist(under whose supervision she is taking medications) or the gastroentrologist or the nutritionist ...in such case u plz suggest me a good nuetriniost.
I am two years out from bariatric surgery. When I eat a meal, sometimes, I have to lay down because my heart starts beating so hard. What does it mean when I can feel my heart beating by putting my hand on my chest? It often takes up to 2 hours until the heart calms down.
Hi , im 16 sorta morbidly obese....kay yea im morbidly obese but im somewat tall lik not 6 foot but im lik 180 cm anyway im wondering wat are some things i can do to prevent getting diabetes , i enjoy water fasting and i heard it helps as well as make you lose weight . is there anything else other than excercising and eating right and water fasting that i can do . im not saying lik i dont wanna exercise and eat right im saying what more can i do? thanks
I am a 39 year male and I am urinating every 30 minutes to 1 hour. I don't have any pain or discoloration. Just concerned at how often im going I'd like to know what this could be if anything dangerous or to be concerned of.
