Does Itchy Scalp On Back Of Head Above The Neck Suggest An Infection?

My scalp itches in one spot (few months now) at the back left of my head below the crown, above the neck. Do I have some type of infection? I am 48, 185 lbs, I take triamterene 37.5/25 mg, and micardis, 40 mg for blood pressure. I also take xyzal as maintenance medicine for sinuses.

Hello,
If you feel a rash or bumps then it could be an infection. If that is the case then see your doctor for treatment. If you do not feel any bumps or raised areas then try using Nizoral AD shampoo for several weeks and see if this gets rid of the itching.
