Does Implantation Of VP Shunt Cause Severe Pelvic And Abdominal Pains?

I had a VP shunt (programmable) put in 1 month ago (i have inter cranial hypertension and a Chiari Malformation) and saw my NS. everything has been going smoothly until this week....I have had severe pelvic and low abdominal pain, I have an appointment to see him again in 4 months. Is this something related to my surgery, do I need to worry about it or should i try and get a closer appointment???
