General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

A possible mechanism is that high levels of prolactin affect the function of the ovaries, resulting in a luteal phase defect and miscarriage.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

General & Family Physician Dr. Sunny Madar's  Response
Hi,

This tablet is not taken during pregnancy. If hyperprolactinemia is there it affects pregnancy [do blood prolactin levels while using these meds]. It should not be used during pregnancy.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
