Does High Ferritin Affect Foetus?

I have iron overlOad as I have frequent blood transfusions. This is because I have thallasemia. My ferritin us really high how will this effect a foetus or an unborn child as me and partner are trying for a baby and worried this will effect the baby once I get pregnant. Please help

Hi.

The estaboished risks include a possibility of low grade inflammation and also a possibility of developing gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), I would thus recommend regular general checkups to make sure all these are within normal and correction when and where required.
